The airbag-specific permeability testing machine FX3350 is a device that can quickly and accurately calculate the dynamic permeability of the base fabric and the permeability curve index within the selected air pressure.
The airbag-specific permeability testing machine (permeability meter) FX3350 (manufactured by Swiss company Textest) reproduces the state of an airbag during expansion and contraction by rapidly injecting air into the fabric. To inject air, the storage volume is filled to the desired starting pressure and released outside through the test fabric. As a result, the pressure on the test fabric rises to a maximum pressure difference of about 1,000 mbar (14 psi) within 15 to 25 ms and returns to zero within 100 to 200 ms. The machine measures the pressure of both volumes as a function of time. From this data, the average dynamic permeability of the test fabric during contraction is automatically calculated as an index on the permeability curve. All test results are digitally displayed on the device.
